When someone comes in after a car accident, their first question is this: “Do I have a claim?” The answer depends on the three main components of having a claim. The first of these is liability, meaning somebody else needs to be at fault. The second is damages. Were you injured? Do you have medical bills? Do you have lost wages? There has to be a basis for recovery. The third component is if the other person has insurance. If not, what other basis of recovery do we have?
